Gartcairn Football Academy Airdrie - U/15's

In late 2020, Scottish’s Roads Partnership were contacted by Gartcairn Football Academy in Airdrie who sought sponsorship via the SRP ‘Good Neighbour’ Fund. This funding request would provide a full squad of under 15-year-old girls with a new match day kit. The Football Academy based at Airdrie Sports Centre, coach players from the surrounding towns in North Lanarkshire. Scottish Roads Partnership General Manager, Mark Miller, was delighted to sponsor the Girls Under 15 Team for the 2021/22 season and provided the football academy with a cheque for £1,118.65 to cover the cost of not only a ‘Match Day’ Kit but also full ‘Training Day’ gear, ensuring the girls have smart attire for the new season.

In April 2021, Scottish Road Partnership’s Operations Manager, Graham Drummond was invited to a Gartcairn Girls U/15’s training session at their football academy in Rawyards Park, Airdrie. As a show of their appreciation for the sponsorship, the girls wore their new football kit for the first time and surprised Graham with a gift, a framed football shirt showing Scottish Road Partnership’s Logo. This framed shirt now sits pride of place on Scottish Roads Partnership's Office wall in Bellshill.

Normally a maximum grant of £500 each is available from the SRP ‘Good Neighbour’ fund. Application forms for the funding can be requested by contacting their admin manager Louise Berkley at or telephone 0800 042 0188.
