AMEY CELEBRATES 12 YEARS SUPPORTING ST ANDREW’S HOSPICE SANTA DASH & REINDEER RUN

Kind-hearted supporters of St Andrew’s Hospice in Airdrie were able to kick off Christmas in the jolliest way possible, taking a festive lap of the park — complete with Santa suits, antlers, treats and plenty of Christmas cheer.

The event took place at Strathclyde Park, Motherwell on Sunday 07th December 2025, raising vital funds to support the hospice. St Andrew’s Hospice provides palliative care and support for terminally ill people and their families across Lanarkshire.

Since November 2014, Amey’s has proudly sponsored the hospice’s annual Santa Dash and Reindeer Run. The support comes from Amey’s M8 DBFO unit, with assistance from the Amey South-West Trunk Roads unit.

An Amey gritter vehicle transported Santa to his grotto on the day — direct from the North Pole — ensuring he arrived through the ice and snow in time to launch the event.

Amey’s sponsorship provided Santa suits for adults and hats or antlers for children, as well as festive treats along the route. Several Santa Stations were positioned around the 6K course to keep participants fueled and smiling.
