December 2025 - Amey Secret Santa Toy Donations for local children

19 December 2025

AMEY STAFF DONATE EIGHTY EIGHT TOY PACKAGES TO ORGANISATIONS IN THE GLASGOW & LANARKSHIRE AREAS

During the month of December 2025, kind-hearted staff at Amey’s Polmadie Office in Glasgow took part in a ‘Secret Santa’ Christmas Tree tag idea from Gary McCool, the M8 DBFO highways supervisor. Amey employees from the office and depot buildings picked a tag from the Christmas Tree in the reception area, then purchased a suitable gift that was age and gender specific, to be given with kindness to disadvantaged children on Christmas day.

Two different organisation's, the Baby Bank Scotland Charity in Hamilton & Glasgow Social Work Department, each provided 25 gift tags for children of various ages and gender. These tags were placed on the branches of Amey’s Christmas tree and were quickly picked up by generous Amey employees, who, in their own time, purchased over 88 gift packages for local children.

The idea was greatly supported by Admin Staff members Louise Dick, Kimberley McKenna & Joanna Cullen, who relentlessly drove the Secret Santa donations for two whole weeks, due to the time constraints and they quickly organised a toy delivery by our highways operatives to the two different organisation's prior to the strict deadline of Friday the 19th December.

Ends.
