Social Impact Day – Amey M8 DBFO Contract Visit Sandyhills Bowling Club, Glasgow Eastend.

On Friday 21 August 2026, four Amey personel from the M8 DBFO contract, Robert Potter, Alexander Aitken, Daniel Chandler and Graeme Gwynne, provided valuable support to help prepare the club for its upcoming Finals Weekend.

The team carried out a range of tasks including:

  • De-weeding the patio area and surrounding grounds.
  • Edging around the bowling green.
  • Cleaning out the ditches.
  • Cutting back overhanging shrubs along the fence line.
  • Removing and disposing of tonne bags of rubbish.

The ground work has significantly improved the appearance of the club and surrounding areas, ensuring the grounds are presented to a high standard for Finals Weekend. Their efforts were greatly appreciated by the club members and will help create a welcoming environment for players and visitors attending the event.
