Amey and Eave partner for a healthier working environment

Occupational health risks like noise, hand-arm vibration and dust exposure have traditionally been difficult to track in real time, building up gradually over years without workers or employers having clear visibility of the cumulative harm being done. Eave's wearable technology and accompanying platform address this directly, giving continuous, real-time data on exposure levels rather than relying on periodic checks or guesswork.

The partnership with Amey's South-West Trunk Roads division reflects this shift in approach. Rather than managing health risks reactively, addressing problems only once they've occurred, Amey has used Eave's data to intervene proactively, identifying and controlling hazards before they cause lasting harm. The information is available both on Amey's central platform and directly on workers' wrists, allowing exposure to be managed on the spot as well as monitored strategically across the wider organisation.

For frontline workers, the value is tangible. Many had never previously had access to noise or dust monitors, or any way of knowing whether their hearing protection was set appropriately for the conditions they were working in. Having that data now demonstrates a genuine investment in their long-term health, not simply a box-ticking exercise.
