M74 SB at J4 Maryville between Link Roads for M73 NB & M74 SB

M74 southbound at J4 Maryville between Link Road to M73 northbound & Link Road to M74 southbound - 15 Overnight Closures

Road users are advised that the M74 southbound carriageway at Junction 4 Maryville between the M74 southbound link road to the M73 northbound and the M73 southbound link road to the M74 southbound, will be closed for fifteen various nights (excluding Saturday nights), from 8pm to 6am the following day, commencing Monday  01 September 2025, for essential carriageway resurfacing  works.

The works are planned to be undertaken as follows:

  • Monday 01 September to Friday 05 September (5 nights)
  • Sunday 07 September to Friday 12 September (6 nights)
  • Sunday 14 September to Wednesday 17 September (4 nights)

The closures are required to ensure road user and road worker safety whilst essential carriageway resurfacing works are undertaken and have been scheduled overnight to minimise disruption to traffic. The road will reopen at 6am each morning.

A signed diversion route will be in place via the M74 southbound link road to the M73 northbound at Junction 4 Maryville, M73 northbound Junction 2 Baillieston off slip road for Baillieston roundabout, take 4th exit to return to M73 southbound at Junction 2 Baillieston on slip road, M73 southbound link road to M74 southbound and continue M74 South.

The diversion route will add an estimated 3 miles and 4 minutes to affected journeys. 

Access for emergency services will be maintained.

These works will be carried out by Scottish Road Partnership on behalf of Transport Scotland to maintain the integrity and safety of this route.

The works have been planned in consultation with Transport Scotland and the emergency services.

Please note, all works are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
